Ok, I guess it would be update time.  Last Saturday, 20, I went home for the Thanksgiving holidays. 

I picked Selby up on my way to my house that night.  We watched tv for a little while and then went to Wally World to get some stuff that we needed.

Sunday the 20

I got to skip church and sleep late.  I got up and went to Selby's after lunch.  I guess lunch was good but I don't remember anymore.  Sometime later that day I decided I didn't really want to come that night so Mary and Azee came with me to get stuff to spend the night.  Selby and I watched tv and made earrings (money) for a while.  Then we all went to bed (I share a bed with Mary and that's fun b/c we lay there gossiping for a while).

Monday the 21

Woke up, ate biscuits Mary made (highlight of my day), and stuck around for a little while before I had to go home.  I remember something about cleaning that day and that being the shadow of the day.  Oh, I made chocolate chip cookies... they were good!  I didn't sleep well that night b/c I had to get up early.

Tuesday the 22 -- The long part of this update

I woke up at 4:18 and at 4:19 Emily texted me.  I had to get up and get ready to go.  I consequently slugged around and talked to Emily on the phone for a while.  She was writing a research paper due at 9:30 that morning.  I got to the LaBarres at 5:45 like I was told to and ended up talking to Mary and laying on the floor with Selby.  Mrs. Edye and Mr. Bill emerged from their room at like... 6:15ish.  We had to be at the hospital at 6:30 for Selby to have his back surgery, we were a little late but it was all cool!  He had a herniated/slipped disk, I'm not sure which one it was or what it was exactly.  It looked kinda like the picture I put somewhere in here. I guess that's what it was supposed to look like but I'm not sure.  Anyways, while he was in surgery I watched vh1's top 20 videos, on his hospital bed while wearing his giant Gap hoodie, it smelled like him (good).  I also cried while texting his dad when he went home to do something.  His mom was asleep in a chair.  The three of us went to Wendy's for lunch and when we got back Selby was laying in his bed and looked high as a kite.  I was SOOO happy to see him.  We watched poker for a while and when his lunch came in he wanted some.  I fed him strawberry jello and a grape popsicle.  I also gave him Sprite every once in a while.  I felt so helpful and I REALLY enjoyed taking care of him.  His parents went home for a while so they could bring Mary and Azee back and Mrs. Edye could get stuff to spend the night at the hospital with Sel.  After the other three left (M, A, Mr. B) we got McAllister's for supper.  Selby and I split a piece of chocolate cheesecake and a sweet tea.  I left at 8:00 and went home and didn't sleep much that night, again.

Thursday the 24

Turkey Day!  What else can I say other than: lunch at my house.  Supper in Vicksburg at Selby's aunt and uncle's house.  We watched a ton of home videos at their house.  Selby was the CUTEST kid I've EVER seen.  I even got to see the Rescue 911 video I've been asking to see for the past six months.  I still laugh b/c of the big round glasses and the very southern accent he had.  I don't notice if he has an accent, at all.  I guess I'm just used to it if he has one.

Friday the 25

Another unproductive day.  Spent the night at the LaBarres again and that's about it for today.

Saturday the 26

Very unproductive again today.  My parents, Selby, and I went to Margaritas with my aunt and uncle for supper.  I had a chicken and steak quesadilla.

Sunday the 27

Happy 28th birthday to Kim.  Ok, now that I said that... I don't ever want to leave again.  It took me an hour to get up and start heading for the door at Selby's then there was all the hugging and kissing and "I love you" going on so I couldn't leave quite yet.  I love him so much.
